Dodgeball Rant

West Hollywood Dodgebomber’s (team I play on) placed 2nd tonight. There’s every reason to be immensely proud of our 22-strong: getting out of our comfort zones, sort of communicating and working together, not taking smack when we’re on the last breath. There’s work to be laid, sure every team
has thisNEEDS THIS. Tonight’s Dodgeball match made me realize a few key things:1) Allow yourself to play more than one-note. In game players could be caught off guard by alternating how they play. This winds up more effective as a team.
2) Visualizing/Coming up with a counter strategy will keep you from repetitive mistakes. Scouting other players and keeping note of their habits will give you an informed decision. Teaming up with someone else and thinking about this will normally be successful.
3) Encourage others! Empowering them will inspire, and get them having fun with the game. It’s why we play Dodgeball!

If you think about it,
everybody great worked hard. Even if they were a genius, they worked hard at what they wanted to accomplish. Sometimes, people will make it seem like they didn’t do too much but in the end…if you work hard, you get rewarded.

I’ve always loved this for it’s steam punkiness. With a rocket on your back you can fight baddies and pick up lunch XD
